Diatomaceous Earth

Our Superfine Diatomaceous Earth is an ultra-fine, creamy-white powder with a texture similar to milk powder. Extra-milled and precision-sorted, over 90% of particles are under 200 microns, with an average size of less than 300 microns (0.3 mm). This makes it ideal for mixing into food, water, or feed—though please note that, like all DE, it is not water-soluble.

Mined from natural freshwater deposits, this high-purity amorphous silica product is animal food-grade and safe for use as a dietary supplement for pets and livestock when used as directed. It has been tested by Queensland Workplace Health and Safety and contains no detectable crystalline silica (less than 0.1%), ensuring safety during handling and use.

Our DE has also been independently tested by the Russian Academy of Science, which has rated it among the highest-quality deposits in the world.

While many consumers choose to ingest diatomaceous earth for its purported health benefits, no diatomaceous earth produced in Australia is certified for human consumption. If you choose to consume it, we recommend sterilising it first by spreading it on a baking tray and heating in a moderately slow oven (140–160°C) for 30 minutes. Avoid overheating, as higher temperatures can alter its structure.
